Most items that you borrow from the Library renew automatically on the due date, up to 18 times in total. You'll only need to return them if they reach this amount, or if they're reserved by another student or staff member. If an item can't be renewed, you will receive an email informing you that you have a 7 day grace period to return your items.
We send automated emails from 'no-reply@oclc.org' which state what has been renewed on your account and what needs to be brought back. Make sure to check the 'Other' or 'Junk' folders in your Roehampton email account, as sometimes the emails can end up in there.
If you do not return the item(s) by the due date, your Library account may be blocked.
You can also renew items online, through 'My Library Account' on the Library website.
Renewing Items in My Library Account
1. Select My Library Account at the top of the Library's website.
2. Next, select 'Roehampton Students and Staff' and enter your Roehampton username and password. If you are an external library member (Alumni, Community, External, or SCONUL) select 'External Member (Library Barcode)' and enter the barcode number printed on your card and your password.
3. You are now logged in to your Library account. To renew your items select the 'Checkouts' tab, then the checkboxes of the items you would like to renew. Now select the 'Renew Items' button to renew them.
You can find more information about renewals on the 'Renew' tab of our 'Borrowing, Renewing & Returning Books' page.
