You can reserve an item when there are no copies that can be borrowed. Placing a reservation will mean that whoever has the item will not be able to renew it and will be sent an email requesting its return.
When a reserved item is ready, you will receive an email. The item will be placed on the reservation shelf near the Library Welcome Desk, with a reservation slip labelled with your name. Items are held one week before they are returned to the shelves.
Please note, we quarantine all returned items for three days, so reservations may take a little longer to process.
To learn more about making reservations, please see our How to Make and Cancel a Reservation guide.
If you have any problems while placing a reservation, please contact the Library on 020 8932 3770 or email us.
