You can reserve a Library item when all copies are out on loan. Making a reservation means whoever has an item won't be able to renew it, and they will also be sent an automated email advising them to return it.
Making a Reservation
1. Firstly, enter the title into the UR Library Search box on the Library homepage and select 'Search'.
2. Next, you'll see a list of search results. You'll find further details of an item, including the reservation options by selecting a title.
3. To place a reservation, select the 'Reserve' button in the 'Access Options' box to the right of the item's details, and then 'Submit' on the following page.
If you haven't logged into your Library account, you will need to sign in with your Roehampton username and password.
When an item is ready, you will receive an email letting you know, and the item is placed for collection on the reservation shelf near our welcome desk. It will have a paper slip with your name on it and will be held for one week before being returned to the shelves. If you no longer need something you've reserved, you can also cancel the reservation. Please note, you can choose to collect your reservation at the Library, or at Whitelands when the reservation is made.
Cancelling a Reservation
1. Firstly, log into your Library Account through the Library homepage or through the following link.
2. Then, select the 'Requested' tab, choosing which pending reservations you want to delete.
3. To delete the selected reservations, select the 'Cancel Requests' button and confirm the cancellation.
You can also find information on making reservations on the Reserve section of the Library website.
