What's the difference between a journal and an article?

A journal is a collection of articles relating to a specific topic. For example, the Journal of Critical Psychology, Counselling and Psychotherapy will contain various articles relating to the topics of psychology, counselling and psychotherapy. We have physical journals in the library and you can also access eJournals via our dedicated A-Z Journal List or via our Library Catalogue.

An article is an individual piece of writing that can be found in journals, magazines and newspapers.
