What is Open Access?

Open Access (OA) is access to digital literature that is made available online free of charge and without most copyright restrictions, usually thanks to research funds. An embargo may apply to Open Access research. The Learning Skills Hub offers guidance on what OA is and how to find OA resources, and we also have an Open Access Guide for researchers managed by the Research Office.
