What is a Basic Search?

Basic search is the default option for searching the Library catalogue. It consists of a single search box which uses an algorithm to interpret your search terms and return the results that are most likely to be relevant to you. You can then refine these results. Basic search is easier to use, but less accurate than advanced search.
