How do I book a library induction session?

Library induction sessions are available at the start of each academic year, between September and November.  These sessions introduce the Library and our services, and include both a 30 minute tour of the Library and a 15 minute introduction to our website and catalogue pages.  During the tour, we explain the general layout of the building and its available study spaces, where key facilities can be found as well as how students borrow and return items from our collection.

If you are a staff member and would like to book a session for your class, you will be able to book a session for the new academic year (2020/2021). We will update this FAQ with more information and details of how to book when we have finalised the sessions we will be offering.

If you would like to book an induction session for your students in advance, please email us with details of when you would like the session, how many students are expected to attend and details of the course including level of study.  To arrange a session dedicated to accessing and finding online resources, please contact our Academic Achievement team to find out more.
