Can I use the Library if I'm not a Roehampton student?

If you're not a current student or staff member at Roehampton you can still enter the Library if you're signed up for one of our membership schemes and have a membership card. We have several different types of membership that you can apply for that will let you use the Library.

Please note:

  • Visitors must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Wi-Fi access is not available in any of our membership schemes, although if you are a SCONUL member and your institution is signed up to use eduroam, you may be able to access the Wi-Fi via eduroam and your logins from your home university. For more guidance on this, see our eduroam page.

For more information about our membership schemes and details of how to apply visit our Visitors to the Library and collaborative partners page.

Our paid membership schemes (£60, or £30 if you are a Roehampton alumnus) are valid for 1 year and allow you to borrow up to 5 items at a time from the Library.

If you apply for membership via the SCONUL scheme then your membership will be valid for the length determined by your home institution. If you are assigned Band A, B, or C you'll also be able to borrow up to 5 items at a time. If you are SCONUL Band R then you can use the library for reference-only access.

Another membership scheme is the Community membership (£10), and it is valid for 6 months.
