Can I request a digitisation extract from a book or journal for module readings?
Yes. Under the University's CLA Higher Education Licence agreement the Library can provide digitised extracts to make selected teaching and learning material more easily accessible to students.
Digitisations are requested and accessed via the module resource list. All digitisations are registered with the CLA and are fully copyright compliant, unlike scans which are put on Moodle. Digitisations provided by the Library are also fully accessible and compatible with screen reader technologies.
Due to demand, we can only provide digitisations for readings marked as Essential on the resource list.
In addition, we are only permitted to provide digitisations for items that we don't hold electronically.
