What is Single Sign On (SSO)?

Single Sign On (SSO) is an authentication service that allows users to access to a system automatically if they are already logged into a related system. In practice, SSO makes it easier to access eResources: if you are already logged into your My Library Account or even your Roehampton email account, you will be able to access eJournals, eBooks and databases without logging into them.
